The course was included in the grant budget for East Ramapo Central District because of Carrie’s positive experience when she took the course in 2014: “The Active Learning Specialist course provides insight into how best to use physical activity in school to help kids learn and move more, as well as bridge the gap between public health and education.”The on-site Summer Institute gave the participating teachers time to meet and collaborate with one another on the development of active learning plans for their schools. The Institute will be followed by time for them to complete the remaining assignments and upload their active learning plans to the online course. Enroll today and earn CEU or graduate credit while creating an active learning plan to help enhance student engagement in learning. ERCSD flyer for Active Learning Summer Institute
